Advocacy, Training & Research

CCRAF’s work in advocacy, training, and research is grounded in a commitment to evidence-informed, rights-based, and community-responsive social development. These three pillars are integrated to influence practice, strengthen capacities, and inform policy for sustainable impact. Advocacy CCRAF undertakes community and policy advocacy to promote mental health, gender equity, child and youth well-being, and access to social protection. Community Resilience & Livelihoods

The Community Resilience & Livelihoods vertical of CCRAF focuses on strengthening the adaptive capacities of vulnerable communities to cope with social, economic, and psychosocial challenges. We recognise resilience as a collective process rooted in access to resources, skills, rights, and supportive community systems. Our interventions prioritise women, youth, and informal community groups, particularly in urban informal settlements and resource-constrained settings. Through participatory and rights-based approaches, we work to enhance livelihood security while fostering confidence, agency, and social cohesion. Key Focus Areas...

Youth & Life Skills Education

CCRAF’s Youth & Life Skills Education initiatives aim to equip adolescents and young people with the psychosocial competencies required for healthy, responsible, and empowered lives. Anchored in a psycho-educational and evidence-informed framework, our programmes focus on strengthening emotional intelligence, critical thinking, communication skills, decision-making, resilience, and social responsibility. We work closely with schools, colleges, and community institutions to deliver age-appropriate life skills modules that address academic stress, mental well-being, gender sensitivity, digital safety, career awareness, and civic engagement. Through interactive workshops, reflective learning methods, and supportive referral mechanisms, CCRAF creates safe learning spaces that enable young people to understand themselves, manage challenges, and participate meaningfully in society. By investing in youth capacities, CCRAF seeks to nurture confident, informed, and socially conscious individuals who can contribute positively to their communities and broader development processes.

Women’s Empowerment & Gender Justice

The Centre for Community Resilience and Advocacy Foundation (CCRAF) is committed to advancing women’s empowerment and gender justice through inclusive, rights-based, and evidence-informed interventions. We work with women and adolescent girls from underserved communities, particularly in urban informal settlements, to strengthen agency, leadership, and socio-economic participation. Our programmes adopt a community-centred and psycho-educational approach, addressing structural barriers that limit women’s access to education, health, livelihoods, and decision-making spaces. By integrating mental well-being, legal awareness, life skills, and collective action, CCRAF supports women to navigate social challenges and exercise their rights with confidence and dignity.
