The Centre for Community Resilience and Advocacy Foundation (CCRAF) recognises mental health as a critical component of individual well-being, educational attainment, and community resilience. Our Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) initiatives are designed to address psychosocial distress, strengthen coping capacities, and promote positive mental well-being among children, adolescents, women, and vulnerable communities.
CCRAF adopts a preventive, promotive, and referral-oriented approach, integrating psycho-education with community engagement. Our interventions focus on building emotional literacy, resilience, and life skills, while also facilitating timely access to professional support where required.
Key Components of Our MHPSS Work
Psycho-education programmes: Structured sessions on emotional well-being, stress management, self-awareness, and healthy coping strategies for students, women, and community members.
School and college-based interventions: Age-appropriate mental health and life skills initiatives addressing academic stress, peer relationships, digital well-being, and career-related anxieties.
Community outreach and awareness: Mental health awareness campaigns to reduce stigma, promote help-seeking behaviour, and strengthen community support systems.
Counselling referrals and linkages: Identification of individuals in need and facilitation of referrals to qualified mental health professionals and public health services.
Capacity building: Orientation and training of teachers, community workers, and youth volunteers to enable early identification and supportive responses to psychosocial concerns.
Through its MHPSS programmes, CCRAF seeks to create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments where mental health is understood, prioritised, and addressed with dignity. By combining evidence-informed practices with community-based engagement, the Foundation contributes to improved psychosocial outcomes and resilient communities.
